Cape Town - Galatasaray have admitted that they would be powerless to prevent Wesley Sneijder leaving if they receive an offer of £16million.
Sneijder has again been linked with a move to Manchester United but the deal
could happen this time after Louis Van Gaal's appointment as manager of the Red Devils.
Van Gaal is expected to join up with his new club next week after the SWC formalities have been completed in Brazil.
The former Bayern Munich manager has already given the green light for the transfers of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw.
Now, those in know are hinting that the talented Dutch midfielder is next on the list as Manchester United rebuild their squad ahead of the new season.
Galatasaray club president Unal Aysal has now revealed that Sneijder has a release clause in his contract.
Aysal is quoted as saying by The Sun: “Sneijder is a good player. We want to keep him at Galatasaray.
“If we receive an offer of 20million euros we do not have the luxury of saying no. That is stipulated in the contract.
“All I can say is that if any club pays us 20million euros and he wants to go then we can’t force him to stay – it’s written in his contract.
